Parmesan Tortellini Bites

There are some recipes that are works of genius; getting spectacular taste with little to no effort. This however, is not one of them. They were good, not anything to write home about though. What put them into my discard pile though was the amount off hassle these took. Especially when there are so many other good side dishes that take much less effort.

I do not recommend making these. Nevertheless here is the recipe for Parmesan Tortellini Bites

What You Need
  • 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated three cheese tortellini
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Panko crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

How to Make It
1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions and drain well.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a 22 sauce pan over medium high heat.

3. Combine Panko and Parmesan.

4. Cover tortellini in flour, dip into eggs and cover again in Panko mixture.

5. Add tortellini to the skillet and cook until evenly golden and crispy.

6. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

7. Serve immediately with marinara sauce.

*Please note this is not a recipe I recommend trying
