What You Need
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
How You Make It
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
3. Add egg, water and vanilla.
4. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
5. Combine oats 1 cup at a time.
6. Fold in chocolate chips.
7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet.
8. Bake 10 – 12 minutes, or until no indentation remains when touched.
9. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
